TMQ brings up an excellent point in comparing Ray Lewis and Michael Vick. Why are more people screaming for Vick to be made an example of for first time cruelty to animals while Ray Lewis got 15 days in prison for not stopping the murder of two people, and not reporting it either.
I love animals but this does seem a bit crazy.

Just shut up...People are tired of hearing you Michael Vick apologists. He did it, he is a cruel sadistic animal, face it, live with it, and watch him go to jail--
I am not a complete and utter fool - I'm just a partial utter fool:)
I beleive human life trumps animal life. However, the difference I see between the Ray Lewis case and Michael Vick is:
If I recall correctly, Ray Lewis' victims were far from upstanding citizen or inoocent bystanders. They chose their fast lifestyle and suffered for it.
Michael Vick's victims had no choice. They were innocent animals who relied on Vick for their food, shleter and protection - of which he gave them none.
