Cat's Diary
DAY 752 - My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while I am forced to eat dry cereal. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope of escape, and the mild satisfaction I get from shredding the occasional piece of furniture. Tomorrow I may eat another houseplant and cough it up on the carpeting.
DAY 761 - Today my attempt to kill my captors by weaving around their feet while they were walking almost succeeded, must try this at the top of the stairs. In an attempt to disgust and repulse these vile oppressors, I once again induced myself to vomit on their favorite chair...must try this on their bed (again).
DAY 762 - Slept all day so that I could annoy my captors with sleep depriving, incessant pleas for food at ungodly hours of the night.
DAY 765 - Decapitated a mouse and brought them the headless body, in an attempt to make them aware of what I am capable of, and to try to strike fear into their hearts. They only cooed and condescended about what a good little cat I was...
DAY 768- I am finally aware of how sadistic they are. For no good reason I was chosen for the water torture. This time however it included a burning foamy chemical called "shampoo". What sick minds could invent such a liquid. My only consolation is the piece of thumb still stuck between my teeth and the tiny bit of flesh under my claws.
DAY 771 - There was some sort of gathering of their accomplices. I was placed in solitary throughout the event. However, I could hear the noise and smell the foul odor of the glass tubes they call "beer." More importantly I overheard that my confinement was due to MY power of "allergies". Must learn what this is and how to use it to my advantage.
DAY 774 - I am convinced the other captives are flunkies and maybe snitches. The dog is routinely released and seems more than happy to return. He is obviously a half-wit. The Bird on the other hand has got to be an informant. He has mastered their frightful tongue (something akin to mole speak) and speaks with them regularly. I am certain he reports my every move. Due to his current placement in the metal room his safety is assured.....for now.

Numbers
The whole story of the 12 spies really seems like the ending of a movie, I can see the story of them skulking through the countries, barely avoiding detection, until finally getting back to the main camp exhausted, physically and mentally.
The preponderance of spies gives a truthful report, but then they lose their faith and say, WE can not beat these guys, which was the truth, the Israelites couldn't win by themselves. Then the Israelites decide to stone Moses and Aaron.
Of course Joshua and Caleb stand up and testify that the Israelites aren't fighting alone! That God is on their side! So the Israelites decide to stone them too.
Now we get to the movie part:
Just as the Israelites are going to stone Joshua and Caleb (and Moses and Aaron too I assume), God in His glory shows up and beats down the rebellers, then imposes His judgment. Interestingly enough, God decided to destroy Israel and Moses, who was about to be stoned by the ingrates, intercedes for the them, quite a picture of Christ, asking forgiveness for those who don't deserve it.
I also read where Aaron and his sister talk bad about Moses and Moses, instead of being self-righteous, he is humble.
In fact he is described in this part of the Bible as the humblest man on the face of the earth, which interests me since Moses wrote this book, apparently being humble doesn't mean being self-deprecating.
Moses doesn't lash out and scream that HE IS MOSES!!!!!! Instead he agrees to take the case before God who then says these wonderful words:
Numbers 12 : 6 - 8
" “Hear now My words:
If there is a prophet among you,
I, the LORD, make Myself known to him in a vision;
I speak to him in a dream.
7 Not so with My servant Moses;
He is faithful in all My house.
Even plainly, and not in dark sayings;
And he sees the form of the LORD.
Why then were you not afraid
To speak against My servant Moses?”"
Wow! Just wow.

Accountability - Day *Mumble Mumble*
The Bible reading was going very well...until I hit Leviticus, kinda slowed down then, but I fought through and finished Leviticus. My reward?
Numbers. Oy vei.
Anyways, since my readings aren't up to snuff I will return to posting what I read the night before, at least until I hit Joshua.
